The Amen to Mendoza story began with a simple moment.
While listening to Fernando Mendoza speak, I heard something different.
His words about family, gratitude, faith, sacrifice, and the people who helped him reach that moment felt bigger than football. They felt universal.
Using Fernando's own words as inspiration, I wrote Amen to Mendoza as a tribute to the journey behind the player—the family, the work, the belief, and the people who helped shape his story.
What started as a single song quickly grew into something much larger.
The project expanded into multiple songs, short films, visual storytelling pieces, community engagement, Spanish-language adaptations honoring Fernando's heritage, and even physical artifacts designed to celebrate the story.
Along the way, the campaign became an experiment in something bigger:
